About Me

Dr Mike Bindon
Director of Red Curtain

I’m an arts education consultant, resource creator, and filmmaker based in The Hague, The Netherlands. With over 25 years of experience in education and a background in media production, I bring a unique blend of strategic insight, pedagogical expertise, and creative flair to everything I do.

From 2012 to 2023, I led the global development of the International Baccalaureate’s Diploma Programme theatre, film, and visual arts courses. I hold a Master’s degree in Performing Arts Education and a Doctorate in International Education from the University of Bath, with my research focused on how IB World Schools can overcome barriers to student participation in the arts.

Through Red Curtain, I work with schools, arts organisations, and educators around the world to deliver impactful workshops, create high-quality teaching resources, support curriculum development, and collaborate on innovative projects at the intersection of education and creativity.
